Speeding Cars

Following on from my earlier message regarding the Neighbourhood Policing Team conducting speeding checks and looking at other traffic related issues in West Craven. 

We have been at 3 checkpoints, Kelbrook Road and Skipton Road in Barnoldswick, along with Colne Road at Earby. 

Whilst the vast majority of motorists have obeyed the speed limit, which I am thankful for,  we have issued 7 speeding tickets to drivers exceeding the 30mph limits. 

Whilst I appreciate that some people will complain that we should have been doing this at different times of the day / night, I would like to say that I intend to carry out further checks at differing times to try and make the roads around West Craven as safe as possible for everyone.
